【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproduceshearpropertydatafortheprocesscontrolandspecificationofadhesives.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusefulforresearchanddevelopmentofadhesives.Lapshearpropertiesvarywithspecimenconfigurationpreparation,speed,andenvironmentoftesting.Consequently,whereprecisecomparativeresultsaredesired,thesefactorsmustbecarefullycontrolledandreported.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetensileshearstrengthsofadhesivesforbondingmetalswhentestedinanessentiallypeel-freestandardspecimenthatdevelopsadhesivestressdistributionrepresentativeofthatdevelopedinatypicallow-peelproduction-typestructuraljoint.Thereproducibilityofthestrengthsachievedaredirectlyrelatedtoconformancewithspecifiedconditionsofpreparationandtesting.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
