【摘要】:Thistestmethodistobeusedtoascertainwhetherornotmaterialsmeetspecificationsforplutoniumcontentorplutoniumassay,orboth.Achemicalcalibrationofthecoulometerisnecessaryforaccurateresults.FIG.1ExampleofaCellDesignUsedatLosAlamosNationalLaboratory(LANL)1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofmilligramquantitiesofplutoniuminunirradiateduranium-plutoniummixedoxidehavingaU/Puratiorangeof0.1to10.Thistestmethodisalsoapplicabletoplutoniummetal,plutoniumoxide,uranium-plutoniummixedcarbide,variousplutoniumcompoundsincludingfluorideandchloridesalts,andplutoniumsolutions.1.2Therecommendedamountofplutoniumforeachaliquantinthecoulometricanalysisis5to10mg.Precisionworsensforloweramountsofplutonium,andelapsedtimeofelectrolysisbecomesimpracticalforhigheramountsofplutonium.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcens,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8.
